This shows that there is an audience for acoustic rock, however it not the most popular genre of music as the charts are generally dominated by pop and R&B.
Acoustic Rock is a mainstream text as the audience is big enough to get it into the charts and in many cases high up in the charts. The artists are also signed by mainstream record labels so are not directed at a niche audience, but a mainstream one to make the most profit for the labels.
