Research: Print Project - Album Covers

Again, this album cover shows how the picture of the artist (looking quite natural) is a key element of a acoustic rock album cover, along with the artists logo, which is again usually just the name of the artist in a certain style or font.

This album cover, although of the same genre, breaks conventions and shows that it is also possible to create an album with graphics as the cover. The main theme of the album links with the graphics - eg: the city. However this cover still displays the artists logo clearly as the others do. From this we can conclude that despite the conventions being broken for the design of the album, it can still work as the logo of the artist is present. Album covers with graphics also may convey the mood or theme of the album, whereas others (although more common) simply show the certain artist.

From looking at these three albums we can conclude that the majority of acoustic rock albums feature a close up image of the artist and the artists logo, although sometimes they can feature a graphic instead.
