Planning: Artists Logo

For preparation in designing our logo, we researched other artists logos. These are both artists we have previously researched. As you can see, the logos are simply the names of the artists, in a particular font or colour.

Here's what we did to create our logo:

We used the program 'InDesign' to research fonts that we may want to use for our logo. In the end, we decided that our favourite of the fonts we shortlisted is: 'Mistral'

We chose this font because we think it looks more hand-written than the others, which is what we were looking for. We also like the way the K and S look together. The red is one of the main colours of our logo and also of our artists image.

This is the final idea for our logo. It is simple, but effective as it catches the audiences eye through colour, has the artists initials to make it easily recognisable and is memorable. It is also modern and fits the artists image. We decided to use the initials of the artist instead of the full name, as the font looked too cartoonish with longer words and also because we think this design is fitting to our artist and more eye catching than the full name would have been.
